Solution of ordinal optimization problems using multicriteria optimization
Ordinal optimization problems consider ordered categories (such as good, medium, bad) instead of real cost coefficients. The relation between different optimality concepts for ordinal costs and the bijective linear transformation from ordinal costs to multicriteria costs is analyzed. Thus, it is possible to solve optimization problems with ordinal costs using well-known methods for multicriteria optimization.
