The project is based on the idea of an illuminated Pascal's triangle described in Hans Magnus Enzensberger's book "Der Zahlenteufel" (The Number Devil).
The object was realized as a project for the Year of Mathematics (2008) and is located in the rooms of the Junior Uni Wuppertal, where it is used for courses with children and young people.
